I believe it’s Uniden’s use of a radio case (for the SDS100) used in their marine line of portable radios that’s at issue here. The marine case is touted as being waterproof/resistant so Uniden kept the moisture resistant feature and advertised it as a plus for the SDS100. But the marine portables don’t use SDR..
